respect
Respect. Respect everyone, staff and fellow members alike. Respect guests, too. Basically, just treat everyone nicely. This is rule one because it's the most important. I don't want to see anyone on this board being mean to anyone else.
posting
I am not going to impose a word limit, because I very much believe quality over quantity. Personally, I can write a thousand word post without too much effort, but it won't be as well written as my 500-600 word posts. That being said, no one wants to reply to a one liner. This is an intermediate/advanced roleplay. Please keep that in mind. Along the same vein, chat speak is simply unacceptable. Swearing is no problem, feel free. But in moderation. Unless your character is vulgar by definition, there is no need for every other word in your post to be a swear.
roleplaying
I hate limiting creativity in any way, so I'll keep this brief and as little as possible. References to sex and violence are allowed, as is blood and death. However, please refrain from killing each other without permission. You don't have to ask me, you just have to make sure the characters involved in the death are aware of what's going on and are okay with it. I don't want someone killing someone else without permission from the player. About posting character Apps: If you post an app and it is a work in progress for three or more days, a staff member will email you to remind you to finish it. Unless there is a reason your application is not complete it will be removed after a week. Your account will be deleted as well. Sorry, but I like keeping the member count accurate. Also, if your thread is mature by nature, please do not post it to this site. The Proboards terms of service do not allow that. I understand this may make some plots harder to play out such as Alison and Caleb, but that's the way it has to be, sorry about that!
activity
Please be active. Activity is posting, just because you show up and stare at the page doesn't mean you are active! At least two posts a week is the minimum unless you have posted in the away board. To be honest, I'm not going to be too picky about this. I understand lack of muse and life getting in the way, etc. There will be regular activity checks, so keep that in mind. And if you know you won't be on for a couple of days in a row, post in the away board.
[/blockquote]Please do not fight with the staff over rules. We kind of have the final say. These rules are subject to change, but any changes will be announced. There are some rules that go without saying, such as godmodding and all that. The typical stuff that should be common sense.
